The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day...

Mmmm... 2015 was extra sweet, full of growth and love. I'm sad to bid it all adieu but excited for more of it in 2016.

A few resolutions:
-Eat more Sunday dinners at Mom & Dad's
-Enjoy my siblings, I'm my happiest when with them
-Travel on every 3 day weekend! Glenwood Springs, CO & L.A. here we come!
-Kiss Philip every chance I get

You remind me of EVERYTHING I love.

Spring has arrived!!! I SO love this season of love. Disney's Bambi really portrayed Spring time right. ;-) This past week I fell in love with ducklings and Andy Shauf's "You Remind Me" song from P is for Panda Mixtape Volume 1.  People often ask and I haven't ever been able to put into words what exactly it is I'm looking for in a mate, other than a humor that makes the hardest of times comical and a certain feeling that I know I will recognize.  Shuaf's song finally put that feeling into words for me, a remembrance of EVERYTHING I love.  When I think of the people that I'm closest too, the ones I love the most and ache to be with, I've concluded these favorites of mine, are those that remind me of everything that I love. And THAT is exactly what I'm looking for.

LOVE liberates.

Oh February, the month of LOVE.  Valentine's Day of LOVE.  I LOVE it!  Seriously, I love Valentine's Day SO much.  Lately when I think of LOVE I can't help but think of the lovely Maya Angelou and how my soul swells with each and every one of her words.  "I am grateful to have been loved, to be loved now and to be able to love."- Maya Angelou
I am grateful for my friends, family, for the strength and love of my parents, for being able to return home every time life slams me down and makes me call uncle. I am grateful for LOVE.

My love's too big for you my love

"My love's too big for you my love"

Life had been feeling so cozy and incredibly loving. Although the weeks leading into the holidays were rough, I could not wait to be in the arms of my parents, lounging on their comfy couch and spending time with my siblings and their kiddos. Thank goodness the sun sets and the sun rises. Thank Heaven for the Christmas season, for families and love.  Christmas 2014 was seriously Heaven on Earth.

"I woke up this morning with a funny taste in my head.
Spackled some butter over my whole grain bread.
Something tastes different, maybe it's my tongue.
Something tastes different, suddenly I'm not so young."

Now there's today. Spring Semester begins tomorrow and I've lost track of how many days I've been congested and hacking like a sick-o. Tonight I'm thankful for Baby Sisters who let me breakdown with them and in turn, lift me up higher than I deserve.  I'm also thankful for Ingrid Michaelson and how she always knows how to tell it.

"The storm is coming but I don't mind... All we can do is keep breathing."
